People often wonder where the Mayans went, the answer is they are right here among us. The ancient Mayan cities of the past are now archeological sites but the Mayan people and culture lives on. We thought it would be interesting to see what we could of Mayan influences in the Playa Del Carmen of today. In language, architecture, food, design or inspiration we find Mayan orgins.
