One thing you can enjoy are Riviera Maya shows. Below are descriptions of the shows you can see. Some are dinner shows, some are just for entertainment and some are late night shows.
The Cirque Du Soleil Show
Everyone knows the name Cirque Du Soleil. It is world renowned for class, talent and creativity. Did you know that Cirque Du Soleil has a permanent show right here in the Riviera Maya? They have built their own theater between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen.
The show is called “La Joya” and this show takes elements from Mexican culture and history. This Cirque Du Soleil show is in a more intimate theater than the other big shows in places like Las Vegas. Here you can experience a whole evening. Not just coming for the show but for the evening and walking around the property.

Xcaret’s grand spectacular show
Xcaret’s show in the Rivera Maya is a spectacle! Xcaret is an eco park that introduces people to the nature and Mexican culture of the area. During the day at Xcaret there are many small shows that highlight regional traditions and Mayan ancestry. At the end of the day everyone goes to the big theater where you will be treated to the two hour show. Here over 300 performers will dazzle you.

Coco Bongo Playa Del Carmen show
Many people that stay at all inclusive hotels like to get out and party in a real club. Coco Bongo is an easy night out from the all inclusives in and around Playa Del Carmen. This Riviera Maya show is also popular with people staying in town and want a show to go out to (Coco Bongo is just one of the nightlife spots in Playa Del Carmen, for a complete guide see here).
Coco Bongo is a nightclub/show where you will be entertained from about 11:00pm until 3:15am. This is more of a show and not so much a dance club. Numbers are often reproductions of famous musicians or movie recreations. Expect to see flying acrobats, dance videos, drinking and a crazy night out.

I took your advice and went to see Rauxa show. It was great! Very entertaining and the dancers and performers were all very good. Much better than expected, although your video was very good.
I have been to both cirque Du Soleil and Rauxa. Both shows are very good and very different from one another. Good options for people coming to the area.
